Presently serve as entomologist and pesticide specialist for Texas Cooperative Extension, Texas A&M University System. Travels on grants with USDA and private consultation with pesticide companies have taken me back to the mission many times to work with farmers on pesticide safety and integrated pest management in their crops. Most recently in Central America for Hurricane Mitch recovery activities (1998 -2002). Consulted with farmers in Panama & Colombia on private grant from CONCEP and Hoechst International in 1992 - 1993 for suppression of mating and oviposition of pink bollworm with sex attractant pheromone formulations. |
