Comments:
It has been a long time since I reached out to my mission and companions.

There is not a day that passes that I don't think of my experiences in the mission days and I still even dream in portuguese every once in a while.

I took a long time to get married and start a family, so long in fact that I felt that I was going to have to marry into a family that was already started. At 29, I was lead to a wonderful woman with a child from a former marriage. I met Ann through a cousin. We were in love almost at first contact, by email. We were married in two months from that contact. We were sealed a year and a half later due to having Ann's former sealing canceled.

We lived in Thatcher as I had a better job situation. I had taught High School Math for a year and was working on a chance to teach at a local Community College. I adopted my daughter, Laur'l, by marriage and it was there we determined that she either had developmental delays or was autistic and she was enrolled in school at three years old. We found out later that she was indeed Autistic, but only mildly in most areas and moderately in a couple of areas.

I determined soon after that teaching was not my calling after all. We were going to move to Flagstaff anyway and so I switched gears to accounting.

In Flagstaff we had a second daughter, Adelle. School was very hard the second time for me and also with a family to support. We survived and I took a Job with a CPA firm in Tucson, AZ. We also moved back to Saint David to be close to Ann's family and I commute 100+ miles a day.

We have a son due in April of next year.

I am happy once more to reach out to my companions and others that I served with in the wonderful land of Portugal.
