Since returning from serving in the greatest mission in the world, my life has been filled with some great adventures. The best, of course, being my marriage to the former Elder Cook. We live in Columbus Georgia, on our way to Hawaii next June. Two weeks ago I returned from Russia, after visiting that awesome, yet somewhat strange country for two weeks. My mom and I went back, mainly so she could close some doors to her own mission in Samara, Russia, having been cut seventeen months short due to my father's illness. We were nervous to return, but the welcome we received, in both St. Petersburg and Samara was absolutely wonderful! I can't believe how happy the people we knew, and didn't know, were to see us, to know we came back to see them. It solidified my mission and helped me to know that I really did have some influence over there, in one way or another. I love those people. If you guys ever have a chance to go back, do it...it's an amazing treat! It hasn't changed too much,..maybe it's ev |
