5/25/07 - Erik has finally been transfered!! He is in Cape Town. He spent 2 weeks in Strand and then was moved to Somerset West. His new companion is Elder Millard, who only has 3 months left. He is on a bike and now teaching white people. He's a little anxious. It's very different than the township. He's had a few slammed doors. He got to see snow (he hates the rain and misses the snow) and has been skateboarding. FUN!

7/4/07 - Somerset West didn't last long. After only 6 weeks, he was moved a township in Cape Town called Khayalitsha. He was also made a trainer!! So exciting, but very humbling. He has a new greenie companion, Elder Mdanda. He is from Durban and is 5 years older than Erik. They are having success and Erik said goodbye to his teen years and had his 20th birthday!!

12/28/07 - Time sure flies. Erik spent time with Elder Chapman and Elder Lovendale in a trio for a short time and then was sent to Mowbray in Cape Town. His companion was Elder Christoffersen. Erik became a District Leader in Mowbray and served with tall (6' 7") Elder Booth from England. He enjoyed hiking table mountain and several other peaks. They also went to visit the Monkey Park and made a few friends. He is now in Queenstown back in the township (which he loves) as a Zone Leader. Lots of responsibility, but he is ready for the challenge. We were so happy to talk to him at Christmas. Happy New Year everyone!
