1981 - 1982 - sounds like a short mission, huh? My 4 brothers call me their only sister as I went on one of those "sister missions" (18 months).
My lovely wife Kelly and I got six kids - Jeff (20), Lindsi (17), Trevor (15), twins Brady and Blake (12) and Halli (3). We met at BYU (where else?), graduated, first job in Fort Worth, TX (2 years). We moved to Kent, WA (Seattle suburb) in 1989 and have lived here since. My oldest son is serving in the Nevada Las Vegas West - Spanish speaking mission. My prediction of Chinese speaking didn't come true - but I'm ok with it as I have three more sons to try for Chinese speaking. Steve Bement (former Taichung/Kaoshiung missionary) is a Bishop in a neighboring ward in my stake and we have sung in church functions a few times together. Visitors are welcome and we have been known to exchange a Christmas card or two. |
