Your Occupation: speech-language pathologist
Spouse: Fred Robertson
Comments:
After my mission I finished a master's of speech-language pathology at BYU and worked at the Alberta Children's Hospital for six years before marrying Fred. We have settled in Cranbrook, B.C. and have four children: Frank('91), Kurt ('93), LaRae ('96), and David ('98). Fred is working as an optometrist, and I work one day a week at my children's school as a speech-language pathologist. Perfect set-up!
The gospel of Jesus Christ is the center of our lives and we're both doing our part to build up the kingdom. At the moment I am primary president and Fred is the cub scout leader and primary teacher.
In Feb. 2001 I got to go to Hong Kong and BeiJing for two weeks. It was fun to compare both places with Taiwan of 20 years ago. Hong Kong is much more westernized and BeiJing is more backwards. I struggled to remember enough Mandarin to be useful, but I certainly enjoyed the struggle. When our kids grow up a bit more I will take Fred to visit Taiwan and some different areas of China.
