Jon Nephi Vawdrey, 65, Sandy 26th Ward, Sandy Utah Crescent Ridge Stake; called
as president of the Taipei Taiwan Temple; succeeding President Thomas P.
Nielson. President Vawdrey's wife, LeAnn Cagle Vawdrey, will serve as temple
matron. President Vawdrey is a former temple worker, stake patriarch, high
councilor and bishop. He was a locksmith. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah,
to Elden Crapo and Evelyn May Sanders Vawdrey.
Sister Vawdrey is a former stake Primary president, stake and ward Relief
Society secretary, Young Women president and Relief Society teacher. She was
born in Phoenix, Ariz., to Arthur Edward and Margaret Mary Ericksen Cagle.
