I can't believe how quickly time has flown since serving in the Ukraine. I somehow ended up at BYU (due to tremendous pressure from my mother- it was not part of my plan) but I ended up dating a wonderful man - Brett Glassey and we were married in the Salt Lake Temple in 1995. It took more than 3 years for our son, Jaden, to come along. After waiting with an adoption agency for a few years we were guided by the Spirit to choose foster care and in March 2008 we adopted 3 sibling boys who were sealed to us in the temple. So now we have Jaden 9 years old, Gage 7 years old, Marcus 5 years old and Cody 4 years old. We are also fostering a little girl just over a year old so I'm no longer the token girl. Isn't it wonderful? They keep me crazy busy and sometimes just crazy.
My husband Brett is a very funny, hard-working man who loves family, teasing and Lake Powell (in that order). Brett is serving in the Young Men's presidency with the Deacons (he is always in Young Mens for some reason) and I was just called to be the ward chorister in our ward. When the 2nd counselor extended me the call my husband and I laughed and Brett said "have you heard her sing?" Still... the church is true despite my being vocally challenged.
