Just a funny story about me beeing at a church dance in Utby ward, Gothenburg stake, sweden.
A young man named Jan Pettersson had recently sent in his papers and now he was walking around letting people guess where he would serve. He wrote up the names of each person making a guess and the country where they thought he might spend his two years.
Well, he showed up in the hallway and explainde this whole procedure to me while I was buissy trying to impress on some girl at the dance. I think I had been home from my mission for a year or so. I had a go at it and looked him in the eyes and with a serious voice said: "You are going to Wisconsin Milwaukee Mission".
Jan sort of got a bit perplexed about that since no one had been so specific before - the others had said russia, england, Finland etc...
Well, he wrote it down and I remember putting on a show to be very convinced that thats where he was going.
No one was more surprised than I when he called a few weeks later and told me I had been right!
Don't go thinking I can prophecy or anything - I just told him what was closes to my heart and made an act that I was convinced about it, more to joke around than anything. Funny how things can go...
Well, Jan had a great mission and I'm sorry if a spoiled the excitement of "opening" that mission call for him....
Regards,
