We wanted to let those who served under President Terry know that his son, Tav, will be returning home from his mission on Wed. August 20th. His homecoming will be Sunday the 24th at 11am at the chapel on 750 N. 1000W. in St. George. We invite any of you who would like to attend.

Hello to all: Please note in your agendas our next missionary reunion slated for 5 Oct. at 7295 S. 1300 W., West Jordan, in Salt Lake. The reunion is from 6-9 pm. and we are asking all to come in Sunday attire. Please spread the word. We are asking those whose names begin with A-H to bring a salad and those from I-P to bring a main course and then those from Q-Z to bring a dessert. This will be our last reunion for a while since Sister Smock and I will be serving a mission to Guatemala beginning Dec. 1, for 18 months. Hope to see all of you again in October.

Elders and Sisters, sorry to inform that we will be unable to have a mission reunion this March. Sister Smock and are leaving this Saturday for Egypt and Israel and will only be returning just hours before General Conference. We will plan to hold a reunion in October for sure. To anyone that lives near Salt Lake:
Hi! I just wanted to see if anyone might be willing to meet up with me in Salt Lake on Friday, Sept. 29 to have a ride down to Provo for the Reunion. I'll be driving in from Boise with my dad, but he has a Mission Reunion in Salt Lake for his mission, so I'll need a ride from Salt Lake area to Provo. If anyone knows of anyone I could catch a ride with, I'd really appreciate it and please let me know.

Someone said that they were unable to get a hold of Hermano Guido Landivar (the man who is having the surgery) using the number I posted on this website. Just to make sure anyone who needs to contact him can do so, here is everything you have to dial from the USA in order to call him 011-593-9-721-5443. By the way, we've raised $150 more for his surgery! Only $350 to go!

Hermano Landivar needs our help! Any of you that served in Universitario in Babahoyo should remember Guido Landivar. He was the branch president until Babahoyo became a stake. Well, I just talked to him and he has a terrible hernia. He needs to have surgery but he can't raise the $750 that the Doctor charges. He has raised about $250 so far, including $40 from the ward. He desperately needs help! You can send him money easily from western union. If we all just chip in a little bit we can help him big time. If you send money you'll need to let him know how to get it. His phone number is 09-721-5443. It's a cell phone and sometimes doesn't work. His wife has email that she checks periodically. It is naclopez@hotmail.com . Give him a call or email him to show your support. He scheduled the operation for mid-august because he is in terrible pain. But he really needs the money to be able to go ahead.

President Terry and President Smock had the priviledge of attending the setting apart of President Sofacles Moran as President of the Chile Santiago East Mission. This took place last Sunday (7/25/06) in Provo at the MTC. Many of you will remember President Moran as he served in the Guayaquil Ecuador Mission Presidency with Presidents Maldanado, Terry and Smock and most recently with President Ridd. He is a survivor and we are proud of him. Good luck President and Sister Moran!

Tuvimos una reunion anoche en la casa de los padres del Elder Wayne Hill. Los presente fueron La Hermana y Presidente Johnson, Elder Wayne Hill, Christopher Britton, Elder Smith (correo!), Jeff Bowers, Tyler Barker, Elder Rose, y unos mas quienes nombres no recuerdo.
Wayne cocino hamburgesas y salchichas y los ninos nadaron en la picina (bien grande). No he visto al Presidente Johnson en 11 anos, y me parece lo mismo - no ha cambiado mucho. Lo llamaron al Presidente Johnson al Primer Quorum de los Setenta y va a servir en Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic) en Agosto. Puede servir alla entre 3 a 5 anos.
Visitamos mucho y nos regocijamos tener el evangelio que nos brindo juntos.
