On behalf of good Sister in my ward, I am trying to locate the missionaries that baptized her.

I was successful in located Elder Stephen Kay Allen.

The other Elder I am trying to locate is Elder Kirk Lewis (Arizona Tempe Mission 1971). He is not in your database. Do you have any ideas on how I could get a clue to find him?

1990 Video 17 Jan 2012
The following comment has been submitted by Eric Edward White <>.

Brian, I've been playing around with some old mission video taken at a Zone Conference Activity back in 1990 in Nogales AZ. I thought I would send a link where it can be found if you have a way to download and post it, I'll leave the link up as long as I can, but probably can't indefinitely. It's 180 MB's.

I interviewed most of the missionaries that were there. It's fun to see them as they were. Most probably don't remember I was even carrying around a huge bulky video camera. It's probably one of the few and first videos in the mission.

I am looking for a few Elders, Elder Ramiro Rodriguez, and Elder Henry Araiza. If anyone knows how I can contact them, I'd appreciate it. They served with me during the 1976-1978 time-frame.

I am working in Dallas, Texas, at this time and would like to get in touch with these two wild and crazy guys.

Pres. Goaslind Update 30 Apr 2011
The following background regarding Elder Goaslind's death was submitted by Elder Lively yesterday:

He was enroute to attend a meeting at the main headquarters of the BSA in SLC. He was ascending the stairs and lost his balance/footing and fell down. Antacedent to that accident he did have age related cardio vascular issues and diabetes. He was on blood thinners. The EMT's and physicians were unable to stop the internal cranial bleeding and he died within a day of that incident at the U of U Hospital - his family around him.

He died doing what he enjoyed the most - being with the young and robust of the Church. His mind was as quick and his spirit as enlightening as ever.
That only got better as he passed through his mortal sojourn.

Despite his age - this was a shock to the family. He was still actively engaged in the Work to the last moments of his earthly probation. Among his many rewards will be the opportunity for a missionary reunion with many others of our brothers and sisters who have already passed through the veil of the eternities. Among them that I know of Sister, Corazon Frandsen, Elder Kelly Smith, Sister Nadine Halls (Liveley), Elder Bruce Westergren, Elder Steven Sutton, Elder Christansen, Elder Ray Combs and many others that we call friends now and forever. I assume at this time that all of the older missionary couples and sisters have preceded Elder Goaslind.

AZ Tempe Mission Reunion 30 Mar 2011
Hi Friends!

We are inviting you (and your families) to a casual get together of refreshments and visiting to reunite with President & Sister Jones. We know some of you live outside of Utah, but still wanted to extend an invitation to you in case you planned on being in town for General Conference. We also extend an invitation to those who served with us, whether or not you served with President & Sister Jones.

We ask that you help us spread the word to those are still in contact with so they may know about it as well. We will have the pleasure of having President & Sister Jones join us for the majority of the evening, although they will have to leave a bit early to meet family that is coming into town that evening. Please plan accordingly if you would like to see them :)

Please RSVP by March 30th (or ASAP). Also, if you are able to attend, we kindly ask that you bring an appetizer OR dessert OR drinks to share. When RSVPing, please make a note of what you are planning to bring. THANK YOU!

We look forward to seeing many of our friends! :)

Elder Scott 02 Feb 2010
I recently received the following from an ATM mother:

My son, Elder Wm. Cameron Scott has been serving in the ATM since December 2nd, 2009. He reports to me that the Arizona Tempe Mission had over 1,250 convert baptisms in 2009, and that the church is growing there !!

He is still in Gilbert, Arizona and has had two companions. Elder Daniel Barker from Kaysville, Utah and Elder Kevin Johnson from Cedar Rapids, Iowa

He loves his mission and all I hear from him is that he is happy and loves the people !!

In December, a man stopped them and gave them $ 20.00 which was from his tips at Pizza Hut. Around Christmas time, his Zone ( 8 - 10 Elders )went out to dinner at a Chinese Restaurant and when they went to pay the bill, someone had paid for their dinner !!

Take care,
Vicki Scott - from the GREAT STATE OF UTAH !!

Looking for Elder Brown 01 Jul 2009
I received the following comment from Timi Le ( yesterday:

Hi I am looking for a young man that served in the mission about 4 or 5 years ago. He was from Utah and I think he name was Alan Brown. I am looking for him because he gave my husband the lessons and my husband decided to not join at the time. However since then he has joined the church but he did it in the middle of a cross country move so I was not able to search him out at that time. Well my husband is getting ready to baptize another convert and I wanted to share this with Elder Brown if at all possible. Any help would be appreciated.
If you have any information, please contact her directly.
