Miracles 05 May 2006
In my last area in New Britain,CT my companion and I were teaching two wonderful people, a mother and her nine year old son. They were comming to church and wanted to be baptized, which is usually fine but in this case the mother was being charged with a felony which would not allow her to be baptized, a crime in which she was not all the way guilty of. As time went on we prayed with her and her family that things would work out and her and her son would be able to be baptized on April 22. We all prayed specifically for this date. Well the court days came and went and things started to not look so good. However the Lord does hear and answer prayers because two days before the prospective baptism date a miracle happened...the charge was dropped to a misdemeanor and they were baptized and confirmed on April 23. A day of miracles. The Lord truly does hear the prayers of His children. May miracles continue in this awesome mission! Not to mention this was a special treat because it was the last sunday my companion and I had out in the mission field.
