Thank you "Elder" Gourley for the update on the Madrids. It is nice to know about their family. Thank you for taking the time to write about them.
President and Sister Madrid, I'll hold you to that "semi-promise" of having a mission reunion someday! There were a lot of people that traveled to come to your homecoming in '96. We would travel again if we had enough advanced planning. How about a reunion around General Conference? I would love to see you and your family.

I was able to find President & Sister Madrid at a ward function when I was in California recently. They have torn their house down and are completely rebuilding, and have relocated temporarily to a condo. They hope to be back in their home within 6 months.
They said that mail can be sent to their "old" address and it will be forwarded to them. The phone number is still theirs, but they never answer it because it is the number of the house. As Sister Madrid told me, with life as hectic as it is (we all know about that), there is no guarantee that you will hear back from them, but they do appreciate hearing from you. Sister Madrid also told me that they don't use the internet, but Carlitos does and he is going to take care of getting them all set up on this website.
Pres. Madrid is now the bishop of his ward in Torrance. The oldest 2 of the kids have served missions in Argentina, and 2 more--Carlitos and his sister--have been called to Argentina on missions! Interestingly, with that many kids called to the same country, none have served in the same mission. Maricella, the oldest, is now married with two children (boys), and the others are preparing for missions and finishing schooling.
Pres. Madrid is working on finishing his PhD at USC while working at the same agency that he did before. His dissertation is specific to the D.R., and he told me that he has been back several times. Sister Madrid told me about their trip back for the temple dedication and how wonderful it was to go back and to see everyone. They are hoping to get a mission reunion together again, but with the home construction, graduate work, etc. it is hard right now.
If you have any questions for me, please feel free to e-mail me! ¡Los Madrid mandan saludos y su cariño a todos!

Does anyone have the phone number and/or address for President Madrid in California? I will be traveling to that area soon and would like to maybe drop in for a visit to them. Since I moved I have lost that information. Thanks!

Every since I have been off of my mission I have been craving some good old dominican food but I only know how to make a few thing. So I decided to start asking arround and collecting recipies. I am going to put them all into an electronic cookbook so that I can share it with all of you.
So if you have any recipes from the mission please let me know.
Gracias
Richard Marlatt

Hi all Sorensen era folks:
Looks like we're gearing up for a reunion this summer (late summer). I'd like to put together a slide show. To that end, please digitize your favorite mission pics and send them along to me with complete information about who is in them. Send music you might like to hear, too.
Thanks,
Clark Draney
