I'm in the Pacific Northwest these days, teaching journalism and English at a community college just north of Seattle. My path here included more than a decade as a journalist in South Texas, then PR stints at a couple of universities before moving full time to the faculty side of things. About two years after returning from Germany, I met a beautiful, intelligent woman at BYU. Amazingly, she agreed to marry me. We have four children, two boys and two girls, the oldest of whom just graduated with a graphic arts degree while No. 2 is on a mission in Colorado. In other news, I was recently called into our ward's bishopric.
