Comments:
Eugene Oshima and his second wife are currently serving their third mission, this time in the Tokyo Temple. They served their first in Tokyo North or South Mission, and their second in Nagoya. They're applying to serve a fourth mission after their time in the temple is up. Elder Oshima told Sister Sonomura in the temple last month (Dec '05) that they have no permanent residence, so they are delighted to have the opportunity to serve on missions for the church. Dec 2005. They have applied again for a fourth mission. This time their call came to serve as family history missionaries in Salt Lake City where they are now serving.(2007)

Alfred Kahananui and I served our mission at the same time- caught the same plane from Hawaii to Japan in July of 1960. I don't know of his whereabouts today or whether or not he is still living. Elder Oshima

"Obedience is the price, faith is the power, love is the motive, the Spirit is the key, and Christ is the reason." The motto of the Japan Fukuoka Mission can be applied not only to missionary work, but to everyday life. -BYU President Bateman
