After I retired as a school principal in 1997, my wife and I have served part time at the Member Location Mission in St. George (3.5 yrs). Next fall we hope to be called on a full time mission. Our son was married last May, and our last daughter is getting married this Friday 1-25-02 at the Mt. Timpanogas Temple, and we will be free to leave. I have just returned from serving a senior-couple mission in Hiroshima, Japan. 5-2004
I got your e-mail with your new address. My wife and I are serving another mission. This time we are in Chuuk, in the Micronesia Guam Mission. We were schedluled back to Tokyo, but at the last minute got switched. We are really needed here. Thanks for keeping me posted on Japan. Thanks for all your good work, keeping us informed. I have especially enjoyed the
pictures of the vocalists who entertained for fundraising projects while I was in Japan. Elder Larry Shumway was my companion in Kyoto, and I came to Japan and returned home with Elder Udall.

"Obedience is the price, faith is the power, love is the motive, the Spirit is the key, and Christ is the reason." The motto of the Japan Fukuoka Mission can be applied not only to missionary work, but to everyday life. -BYU President Bateman
