Comments:
I retired in 2001 from Varian Medical Systems where I worked 26 years as an R&D Engineering Technician.
I am currently serving as the Stake Clerk and enjoying the calling. My President keeps me really busy and has given me some projects that have forced me to step into the darkness from time to time. (areas that I am not familiar with)
I enjoy your news articles and was interested in the notice last week about Elder Wooten. Although I didn't serve with him we were companions traveling home at the end of our missions in April 1964. We spent a few days in Hawaii on the way home. I am sorry to hear of his passing.
Elder Wayne Sabey and I were companions at one time. I was sorry to hear of his surgery and hope everything works out there.
Elder Wade Filmore and I also served in the Mission Home in Tokyo for the last few months of our missions.
It is amazing to hear of all the missions and activities in Japan. Of course when I was there the mission included everything from Hokkaido to Okinawa.
I am still single, never married even though I am still looking!
Keep up the good work on this website.
Roger Stephenson

"Obedience is the price, faith is the power, love is the motive, the Spirit is the key, and Christ is the reason." The motto of the Japan Fukuoka Mission can be applied not only to missionary work, but to everyday life. -BYU President Bateman
