The BYU-Hawaii School of Business named Gene Yamagata, founder of Yamagata Enterprises and a major BYU-Hawaii benefactor, as its annual Executive of the Year during the school's graduation banquet on June 17, 2005.
Yamagata "has made financial contributions that are used to support international students when they travel on internships. He is also supporting the activities of the Center for International Entrepreneurship, and his Yamagata Foundation is co-sponsoring the business plan competition that will occur this fall in Japan." |
