I just got back from a 1.5 week visit to the islands. Lots of things have changed, and some are still the same. I was on Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura, and Lanzarote. I went to church with the La Laguna branch, and visited with several members on Tenerife and on Fuerte. I ate lots of Gofio, Jamon Serrano, Platano Canario, Regaliz, queso semi-curado, and pan pan pan. My wife came with me and we left our kids in St. George with my parents. We had a great time and really enjoyed everything. It was so fun to see the sights and smell the smells again. So many memories came back to me. Wow, what a place and what a time in our lives.
