| Comments: I served under Presidents Maxwell and Christensen from September 1980 to October 1982. Karen and I married in September 1983 in the Salt Lake Temple. We have 6 children together ranging in ages from 22 to 6, including 5 boys and 1 girl. Their names are David Parker-22 (returned from Mexico, Mexico City South Mission), Jordan Michael-20 (currently serving Spain, Malaga mission), Jonathan Adam-19 (finishing first year at the UofU, will receive call this fall), Aaron Spencer - 16 (a Junior in high school), Franklin Quinn-14 (junior high), Katelin Elizabeth-6 (kindergarten). Just when Karen and I had begun to get used to the noise of so many children in our home, now it seems to be getting a little quieter as they start getting a little older, going off to meet friends, date and go to school. The time has passed so quickly. I can remember the day I landed in Salt lake returning from Brasil. I remember it like it was yesterday. I didn't want to come home. Even these many years later, when I think of Brasil, I feel like I left a big part of me there (I've never had an opportunity to go back), and I feel the strongest sense of what seems like home sickness every time I think about it. To each one of the elders of my group who entered the MTC on September 18, 1980, I think about you gentlement all the time. When I pass the MTC these days, or when I've dropped my sons off for their missions, I recall that time we spent together with fondness and a sense of adventure.
