We are very saddened with the news of the tragic passing of our dear sister Lily Perkins. She was shot and killed last Sunday in Salt Lake City. She was one of our Temple Square sisters on loan to us from the end of February till June 5th 2002.
We found her to be such a fun-loving, hard working spiritual young woman who touched the lives of so many. We loved her smile and cheerful attitude. How she will be missed! It is times like this that we turn to the scriptures, prayer and the gospel for comfort and answers. We know that she is now in the loving care of our Father in Heaven.
For those of you that might like to send condolences to the family, her address is as follows: 353 Fourth St, Crossville, TN Her funeral will be this Saturday at 10:00am in Tennessee.
We love Sister Lily Perkins and all of you, our dear missionaries who touched our lives so much. May your testimonies continue to grow in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
love,
President and Sister Friden

Wow... everyone else had these "getting married" announcements, and I wondered when it would be my turn. :) Nathan Goodson and I are getting sealed in the St Louis, MO temple on 8 May and we'll be having a reception here in Kansas City the following day. I doubt any of you are going to be anywhere near Kansas City (crazy Utahns), but if you are interested in coming, let me know and I'll give you more details. :)

Okay, here is a note from President Friden,
We are looking forward to seeing as many missionaries
as possible on Sunday. We will have a little get
together right after Sacrament meeting at our house
and all are invited. We hope you will continue to
spread the word and get as many as possible into that
little chapel. Our closing hymn will be called to
serve and it would be neat if all of our former
missionaries could file up to the front as the hymn
begins and sing to the congregation. We would like it
to be a special moment for the ward.
See you Sunday,
President and Sister Friden
Cinnamon Rolls are still on at my house, they will be
hecka-good. My address is 942 N 75 E Orem.
The easiest way to get to my house is go up 8th north
in Orem. Gold's Gym is on the South side of the
street. Opposite of that Gym is a road, 75 East. There
are a few roads so don't get confused. Just follow
down the road a little bit. On the east side is an old
house with two giant trees in front. That is my house,
942 N. I will have good snacks, and a little time for
us to visit before the welcome home. We'll meet about 9:30 am. Remember to
spread to word, so that we can fill up the little
chapel. I will email with more information on
Thursday.
