Knock knock, this thing working? 29 May 2010
Hey it's Elder Reese.

I went through some of this jazz and it looks pretty dormant but from the looks of it some of my older companions posted here years ago when I had no idea this thing existed.

Anyways, send me an email if you happen to see this, I couldn't find all of you on here.

The site is ACTIVE again! 12 Apr 2009
Folks,
I apologize for abandoning the web master job here. Some time ago, I was facing an operation and THOUGHT I had asked someone at mission.net to take over and find someone. Personal things have gotten worse.. but my work in this life is not over..

I would like to find someone to "help".. to keep this site working please send a message through the website or send one to clbmission1 at gmail. Or find google me and FHCNET and you can find me.

A final motivating factor to write this TODAY was that a sister in Ogden was called to serve in Long Beach. Imagine my first Church meeting in an English Speaking Ward (after 8 years in Spain).. and a sister is there called to be a Spanish speaking missionary in Long Beach!

Dear Flriends! It's missionary reunion time once again and we are looking forward to another evening with the great California Long Beach Missionaries. We miss the close association we enjoyed with you in California. Not a day goes by that we don't think about some of the many missionary experiences we shared with you. Please continue to be faithful and valiant in your commitment, testimony and service. May your "Signal...so shine." We love you and look forward to seeing you at the reunion.
Please bring pictures, addresses, phone number!

Mandie's Funeral Info (Hna. Moss) 11 Feb 2006
This is for all the people who I haven't had the chance to contact regarding Mandie's funeral.

Funeral services will be held: *** 13 February 2006, at 11:00 a.m. at the Farr West First Ward Chapel, 1800 North 1800 West.****

Condolences may be sent to the family at:
www.myers-mortuary.com.

Dennis and Juleen, her mum and dad, would love to hear from everyone who knew and worked with Mandie.

As for details of her passing, I don't know if I am the one to dicuss them. Yes, I am fortunate to know the how's and why's, however, I wish not to over step any boundaries with the family at this time.

Suffice it to say, Mandie passed away on 8 February 2006, after complications from a short illness. It all happened very quickly, which leaves no room for doubt that the Lord has His hand in all of this, and needed Mandie on the other side of the veil to work there as a missionary. I am hoping she's working with my family!

On a personal note, I love her dearly. She was so amazingly wonderful! I already missed her from the mission field. I miss her even more.

So, if any can attend her funeral, I would strongly encourage all who can go to do so. Mandie is a very precious part of all of us who knew her!

Take care, every one! Let's celebrate life as Mandie did and would want for us to live!
Eileen

Just thought I'd take a minute to let you all know that I am getting married to a great girl named Katie from Yucaipa, California (it's outside Redlands) on May 6 in the San Diego Temple. Gave her the ring tonight so we're finally official. I'm excited.

Sad News re. Mandie Moss 09 Feb 2006
This will be short and to the point:
Hna. Mandie L. Moss passed away 8 February 2006. There will be a funeral on Monday, the 13. She will be greatly missed. She was an awesome missionary, and a wonderful person. A mortal life so short, but a mission so great! Pray for her family, please.

e-mail change 01 Nov 2005
Dear Elders and Sisters,
I wanted to be sure you all knew we have a different e-mail address now, as we have finally entered the high speed internet world. It is Laineysunshine@MSN.com. Don't laugh too hard. That is actually been my nickname for years!
We so enjoyed the reunion at the end of September. What a great gathering. Thanks to all those who performed music. I am still hoping to get the men's quartet to sing next time. Elder McIintyre, Elder Miller, Elder Arnold and Elder Shepherd--start making plans! President Christensen gave a wonderful message about holding still in this busy, noisy world so we can hear the spirit. I talked about appreciating the little things in life, so that we arn't waiting everyday for something big and wonderful to happen. We must enjoy the journey!
We had our candy bar quiz for old times sake--the questions were about the great state of Idaho. My daughter Kate now lives there, in Boise.
Stiffi was present, and has been so frisky since he got to see so many of you. Of course, President Christensen and I have been thrilled too, to have been with you, met so many of your wives, fiancees and girlfriends, and felt of your enthusiasm for life and for the gospel.
We still talk of the mission every single day and pray for all of you in this important time in your lives. You are so dear to us. We hope you will never hesitate to call or come by. We love seeing you, hugging you and reminiscing.
You might be interested to know the Armours have been called to serve in Madagascar. They are at the MTC learning French! Wow!
Hope you are having a beautiful fall. We have done some ATVing and it has been incredible. I love Utah! I love all of you, and I miss working with you in the kingdom. God bless each of you. Sister Christensen

directions to reunion 09 Sep 2005
Dear Elders and Sisters,
Some have asked for directions:

If you are coming from I-15, take the 106 exit in Sandy and travel east on 106 to 13th East. Take a left and travel north to Sego Lily (abt. 100 S.) I think it is the first light you come to. Then hang a right on Sego Lily and head east till you come to 2130 East and you'll see the building on your left.

I have heard Elder Jimeniz is coming from Florida. We are so excited! Please spread the word. Many are not on the website and didn't recieve my numerous announcements. (sorry, I couldn't tell if they were going through!)

Hope to hug you all soon.

Love, Sis. C

Reunion report 25 Apr 2005
Dear Elders and Sisters,
President Christensen and I had such a wonderful time at the reunion on April 8th. We floated around for a couple of days afterward. Thank you all for coming and sharing that special time with us and your former friends and companions. It was wonderful to catch up with so many of you and especially to hug you all.
It was super to have Elder Saumweber and Sister Gutierrez, who just were released there with us. Sister Kinikini had come clear from Tonga, too. Hooray! Elder Saumweber gave a short run down on current events in CLBM. It was so awesome to hear the work is going ahead with many baptisms occuring. We are especially excited our little Cambodian branch has become a ward!! No Escarbes!!
I loved President's message about tuning out the noise of the world and keeping our ears open to the Spirit. It is indeed challenging. I spoke about missing the security one feels serving a mission. I never wondered if I was using my energies, etc. the way the Lord wanted. Now, I am constantly concerned where the Lord wants my efforts.
The candy bar quiz was probably the highlight for everyone. I think it indicates what a family we have become. Families love to gather and remember old times, hug each other, and laugh together. It was wonderful to feel the Spirit together again, too. How we love each of you. We speak of the mission and its amazing effect on our lives every day. We hope you are happy at this busy and very important time in your lives. We pray for you daily.
Love to all from President, Stiffy and me, Sis. C.
We are looking at Friday, Sept. 23rd, the week before October conference for our next reunion. Watch the reunion board for details. We'll make final dicisions soon. Elders Doss and Morris (from Georgia) are hoping to come.

April 8th reunion 25 Jan 2005
Dear Elders and Sisters,
All the information for our next reunion for the best mission in the world is to be found under "reunions" on the menu, then click on the "event" and all the details will appear. If you click on Presidnts name you'll just see our beautiful picture again, which I assume most of you look at regularly.
We are excited to have this second event planned and hope you will spread the word to all and that we will be able to see many of you in a few months.
We hope you are having a great 2005. Ours is looking good so far. We think of you every day and pray for you often.
Thank you for your many e-mails, cards and letters. I save them all and put them in our Legacy Books

No escarbes and God bless!

New Year 09 Jan 2005
Dear Elders and Sisters,
We finally have registered on this website and you can now look at our beautiful faces if you click on Presidents. We can't believe it is 2005! Hope this finds you all happy, active, married or dating. Oh, and either in school or working.
We had a wonderful Christmas with our whole family together for the first time in three years. It was so incredible. We even had 2 missionaries here who couldn't get home. We think of all of you as family, of course, and look forward to hearing from you anytime. Thank you to those who sent great Xmas cards, some even with pictures of children!! Wow!
We have had a bumpy time readjusting to real life. I miss not being with my companion every day. I miss the miracles that were so prevelant in our lives there in the field. With 436 missionaries and all those you taught, it seemed there were manifistations daily. Here our circle is somewhat smaller, so the miracles are abundant but not as evident. I miss the focus of the mission. What a special experience we had!
President went back to work August 1st. We did a couple quick ATV weekends, but then took our son Kent and his wife to Tuscon to start law school, returned and took Paul to Creighton U. in Omaha, where he is also going to law school. Two more attorneys!! Our daugter, Kate lives in Montana, so we did a quick trip north. That was a jam packed fall. We are planning a real vacation to Cancun in February!!
We think of you every day of our lives and thank Heavenly Father for our association with you. Never has any calling had more impact on us. We pray for you and hope you still think of us now and then.
We're planning a reunion Friday, April 8th, though I still need to line up the church, so watch the site for further details.
Have a wonderful 2005, we hope to see each one of you.

Love, Sister C.
