If any of you know the Csoti family from Kispest, the mom is going to spend about a month in Salt Lake from mid September 2009 to October. I believe she has a place to stay, but she could use some help getting around, or at least being shown how to use the bus system. Andi (her daughter) says she is pretty independent, but she could just use some help getting around at first.

Szabo Tamás is hoping to contact Elder Sanders who served and taught him in 1996. My son is now serving in his ward and he wrotet he following to me:
I have a question mom. I need you to work your magic and see if you can find an elder that served in 1996 by the name of Sanders. One of the people he began teaching, Szabo Tamás, is now a strong member and Sanders just doesnt know that. Tamás was wondering if theres a way to get a hold of him-- I told him that if there were, it would be my mom.

Hey all...sorry to post twice. Here is a copy of the Teryn's Obituary
Teryn Brant Henrie , age 33, died accidently on June 29, 2008, near his home in Plainfield, New Jersey, as he was kayaking and snorkeling at night.
He was born in Roosevelt, July 3, 1974, the son of Rouel and Beverly Henrie of Neola. Teryn graduated from Union High School in 1992. The summer following graduation, he went on tour with the Olie Anderson Daredevils and saw a lot of new places. He then joined the Navy for two years and saw a lot of places around the world traveling in an Aircraft Carrier, the USS Independence. After returning from the Navy, he went on a mission to the Hungary, Budapest Mission.
He married Xenia Bogalrk Lazar on November 7, 1997, in Salt Lake City. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on November 25, 1998.
Teryn loved life and was a very fun-loving guy. In his short lifetime, he tried to experience all kinds of new things. He went skiing in the Alps, golfed in Dubai in the Middle East, loved riding mountain bikes, loved both snow and wake boarding, kayaking and snorkeling at night locally in New Jersey. He loved golfing with his friends, dad and brothers when he had a rare chance to do so. Friends said he was a very good golfer. Teryn was so very generous. He did whatever he could for people when he was aware they needed help.
He and Xenia have a four year old daughter, Alexis. She was the "Light of His Life!!"
He was active in the their LDS ward in New Jersey, and taught Sunday School to a class of youth, served in both his ward and stake Young Men’s organization, and served as a temple worker in the Manhattan Temple.
Teryn worked for EMC, a computer software company, in Manhattan, NY, and traveled quite a lot for work.
He has many friends, old and new, and loved every one. He will be sorely missed by all of his friends and family.
Teryn is survived by his wife, Xenia, daughter, Alexis; parents, Rouel and Bev Henrie, Neola; Shane (Mindy), N. Ogden; Mykel (Camille), Farr West, UT; Bret (Yarnell), Neola; Brandon, Salt Lake City; Tyrone (Emily), Orem; and sister, Danielle, serving in the Korean Daejeon Mission; returning August 22, 2008; and fourteen nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 12, 2008, at the Neola LDS Chapel. Friends and family may call at the Hullinger Mortuary on Friday from 6-8 p.m. and from 10-10:45 a.m. on Saturday at the church. Interment will be in the Hayden Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, an education account for Alexis has been set up. The family appreciates any level of donation. To donate, please make you checks out to "UESP". Please include the following on your check: "Beneficiary: Alexis Henrie, account number 200813435."

hello all: Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but Teryn Henrie passed away last week. His funeral will be held Saturday July 12 th in Neola Utah. The viewing is the night before also in Neola. I have a native Hungarian author writing a book and is visiting the U.S. She is staying in Draper, UT. She doesn't speak any English and I am looking for someone who wants a job for about 3 weeks. This person would need to drive her around (must provide own transportation but will be reimbursed for fuel), speak to her in hungarian, translate a little bit, do a small amount of assistant work, etc. The job would be for 4-5 hours a day for three weeks, starting immediately. Hey Y'all,
I have a huge favor to ask. I am currently a student at Emory University pursuing my MBA. I am in the thick of an internship search for consulting. I have made a contact at A.T. Kearney who is doing work in Eastern Europe and has asked me for some information about Hungary. If anyone has some good insight for the following questions will you please contact me? Thanks!
- What are the top 3 universities?
- What are the typical languages that university students are fluent in?
- Do you think Western Europe looks down on Hungary to a degree that they would refuse to do business with them?

Hi all --
I received a random message from a guy in NYC who knows a 112-year-old Hungarian woman who lives in Norwalk CT. Her son recently passed away and there is nobody left in the family who can really communicate with her. She is lonely, and I'm sure she has some amazing stories to tell. If anyone is in the area and willing to go visit this woman for a chat, let me know and I'll connect you with the family.
Frankly, I'd like to ask her how on earth she lived to 112 considering how much szalona and tej fol she's probably eaten! That alone would be worth the trip :-)

Hi, this is Kevin Brady. I served a mission in Hungary from 2003-2005. I'm currently applying for a Fulbright Scholarship for the 2008-2009 academic year. This scholarship would bring me to Hungary as a student. However, to apply, I need a university affiliation. This means I need a letter of recommendation from someone at a Hungarian university. Does anyone know of any church members or other individuals who are on the faculty or staff of any of the following universities (or any other Hungarian university)? These universities are University of Szeged, University of Debrecen, University of Pécs, Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Balassi Bálint Institute, International House, or Interclub. I thought that many would like to know that Elder Youngberg died over Easter weekend from cancer. I was looking over the obituaries Monday morning and to my surprise there was someone I recognized.
From what the obituary stated his family is coping as well as possible. The funeral was Tuesday.
